The new Corruption Watch website started with the exploration of their key audience and what their expectations of the experience would be. By identifying 3 key user personas (i.e. Whistleblowers, Donors and General Information seekers) we were able to serve content in a transparent, organised and targeted manner.
Ease of use was high on the priority list and the new website is designed to allow users to get to the information they need within 1 or 2 clicks. Since some of our users access the Corruption Watch website from their personal devices, the website functions on tablets and smart phones.
Besides serving as an information hub, the website had to allow reporting of corruption in a way that encouraged honesty and made whistleblowers feel safe. Reporting had to be qucik, easy and secure. As testament to the new reporting process, 2 reports were made on the first day of our soft launch!
Daniel, thank you for the discussions, considerations, insights and holiday-tips shared over coffees, meetings and emails.
